Let's Get Started....

I was a late bloomer when it comes to crochet.  My college room mate introduced me to a basic shell pattern at age 20, and boom, I was hooked!  Night after night, I worked on row after row of shell stitches in jewel tones of emerald, amethyst, and magenta, working to create a blanket for my mother for Mother's Day.  Once it was finished, I knew that crochet was becoming a life long hobby.
Once I added some kids to my crazy life, crochet took on a life of its own!  I learned how to crochet baby hats out of curiosity (and a little boredom!) and was so happy with the results, I turned this little hobby into a part time business--my Etsy shop, Hippity Hoppity Hats.
One of my biggest frustrations as a crafter is finding quality patterns on the internet for free!  I don't like the idea of shelling out big bucks for a pattern that I may never use again.  So I have created this site as a resource for all of those yarn lovers like me who would like a free pattern to use for creating something wonderful.  I will only post patterns for items that I have created myself, not re-posts of patterns that I have found in my searches.
Disclaimer:  Since I am not a professional, I am sure you will find mistakes in my patterns.  I will do my best to correct them as they are found.
First baby hat!  Baby J was super excited for me

Baby Girl E wanted one too, and promptly stretched it out of shape
